A book by Mathew Walker neuroscientist

After reading the book, the old maxim “practice makes a man perfect” kinda looks like “practice followed by a night of good sleep every day, leads to perfection”

Here in this book Mathew Walker related lack of sleep with depression, anxiety, immune system failure, heart failure, stroke, type 2 diabetes, cancer, dementia, and even over eating in a scientific manner along with footnote on research studies conducted earlier.

Book comprises of
i. Jet lag experienced by people traveling between time zones
ii. Pattern of Circadian Rhythm
iii. Intake of Caffeine to mute the adenosine building up in brain
iv. Societal delusion regarding morning and evening type people

Also this book was especially written in the backdrop of “peoples in developed countries” often give less importance to sleep. In a sense the usage of sleeping pills was increased along with lifestyle diseases. In this current scenario, I can say it is the necessary book that everyone needs to read, irrespective of western country or whatever country it may be.
